Oscar Wilde once declared that “art is the most intense mode of individualism that the world has known.” This statement might seem somewhat derogatory at first sight, but, upon closer inspection, it reveals one of art’s most important purposes on the planet – self-expression.
The four Visual artists, Jida Akil, Sam Galea, Finbar Mueller and Xiang (Debbie) Wang who will exposed their work after two years of intense work through their multiple pieces and personal statements, in this exhibition will be giving their audience a snippet of their varied personalities, personal histories, cultural backgrounds, interests, and passions.
This final exhibition is the culmination of the students IB Art experience. Students present a selection of their best work
in the form of a curated final show, and defend and articulate their purpose and intention in a written rationale.
The 2017 AISC IB Visual Arts exhibition, opening night will be on March 2nd from 20:00 – 22:00 p.m. and it will be open to the public on 3rd and 6th – 9th March from 8:00 a.m. – 16:30 p.m.
