French and Spanish Second Language require that the chosen language was studied in Middle School
** Greek First Language requires native or near native competence in speaking, reading and writing in the Greek language .
SAT - Please see the graduation section for a list of universities to which AISC graduates have been accepted. These include universities in the USA, UK, Cyprus and around the world. Students receive special guidance in the SAT university entrance exam. All AIS Cyprus students practice the PSAT in Grades 9 through 11, and SAT writing is a special focus in Guidance class in Grades 11 and 12.
The AISC SAT averages were 1557 in 2005 and 1562 in 2006.
IB - IB (International Baccalaureate courses) require extra hours at advanced level. High School courses have been aligned to provide a smooth transition for those students who wish to take IB courses. Entrance to IB courses depends on likelihood of success based on grades and work ethic. (See IB section for details). |
