Nicosia, the capital of Cyprus, blessed with beautiful weather and a rich cultural heritage, is an ideal location for the American International School in Cyprus. The third largest island in the Mediterranean, Cyprus combines snow-covered mountains (for a few weeks of the year) and an abundance of beautiful beaches, villages and historic sites, all within easy driving distance from the school. |

Nicosia is a mix of old and new. Along with the antiquities of the Classical Period, one finds modern stores, international cuisine, and varied architecture. Cafes are ubiquitous. Our school takes advantage of the long, rich history of Cyprus, using our surroundings to take students beyond the classroom. Our school is situated atop a hill, in central Nicosia, providing a lovely rooftop view of Nicosia and the Troodos Mountains. Our lush campus is a charming facility including outdoor swimming pool, tennis and basketball courts, barbecue and dining area, well-manicured gardens, and playground areas. |

AISC was established in 1987 with the clear mission of promoting an exemplary educational program in Cyprus that would be a model for other international schools. Our school is known for its positive atmosphere and high academic standards, much like Cyprus itself, which has one of the most friendly and educated populace in the world.
