Admissions

Students are considered for admission to AISC based upon their assessed ability to succeed in the Academic Program. Along with the application fee, parents must submit the applicant's past three years of school grade reports, a letter of recommendation from the previous school director/head, up-to-date health records including all current immunizations, all available standardized test scores. There is no entrance exam per se. We must simply be satisfied that that the student is of good character and likely to proceed to university.

An interview with the Director is an important part of the admissions process. Students who have been dismissed from other schools are not offered admission to AISC.

Since we know that families move throughout the year, there is no one admission cut off date and we accept students to begin at any time, provided they meet our admission requirements and that we have an opening; however, families usually  register in February or March for the next school year. Once admitted with the registration fee paid, we guarantee the spot for the next year.

Non-native speakers of English will be administered a test of English proficiency and placed in English as a Second Language class if needed. Parents of students who have been receiving any type of special services must submit all related paperwork and documentation along with the application.

Prospective students are welcome to spend the day with their potential classmates.

Grade placement of students is made by the Director considering the student's age, previous grade level, and academic history. Placement tests in subject areas may be administered as needed. Always, there is an effort to place students age-appropriately for maximum success.

Fees vary with grade level and program. For tuition fees applicable to your child, please contact the school Administrative Secretary, Helen Sphikas.
