Age Range  
14-17 years of age

Fees  
US$ 4500 per student*

Scholarship offer:
Two (2) scholarships will be offered for qualifying students
1. ASIC student = 2,250 USD
2. Non AISC student = 2,250 USD

What does it cover?
•    Housing at Stanford University
•    Dining at Stanford University
•    Local Transportation by Stanford University
•    Course materials/instructor fees by Stanford University
•    Field trips & activity costs arranged by Stanford University
•    Chaperone’s costs

What doesn’t it cover?
•    Your child’s flight – Cyprus to California return
•    Your child’s visas costs (if any)
•    Your child’s spending money
•    Your child’s medical insurance

*Costs are approximate, based on 20 students attending

Chaperones    
As required by Stanford University, one (1) representative Esol Education / AISC will be provided as a chaperone for every 20 students  attending the program

Application Process

For AISC students

If you are interested in attending, please electronically submit the following application to stanfordsummer2016@aisc.ac.cy by April 20, 2016 (interviews to be scheduled thereafter):
1. A letter addressed  to the American  International  School  in Cyprus  (AISC), outlining why you would like to attend Stanford’s Summer Institute and how you will positively and constructively contribute to the summer program by specifically describing

a. Your interests and attitudes toward learning
b. Your  attitude  towards  the  life  and  culture  of  others  that  may  be different from your own, and
c. How you demonstrate  an active and vocal appreciation  for differing view points and perspectives.

2. Two (2) of your best academic work samples – it could be an essay, research paper, project, lab report, presentation or something creative and innovative, that you feel best represents your abilities as a student.
3. A review of your academic records.
4. A 30-minute interview with AISC’s Senior Leadership Team.

For external (non- AISC) students

If you are interested in attending, please electronically submit the following application to stanfordsummer2016@aisc.ac.cy  by April 20, 2016:
1. A letter addressed  to the American  International  School in Cyprus  (AISC), outlining why you would like to attend Stanford’s Summer Institute and how you will positively and constructively contribute to the summer program by specifically describing

a. Your interests and attitudes toward learning
b. Your  attitude  towards  the  life  and  culture  of  others  that  may  be different from your own, and
c. How you demonstrate  an active and vocal appreciation  for differing view points and perspectives.

2. Two (2) of your best academic work samples – it could be an essay, research paper, project, lab report, presentation or something creative and innovative, that you feel best represents your abilities as a student.
3. Two (2) Open Teacher Recommendation Letters.
4. A review of your report cards for past 2 years.
5. A 30-minute interview with AISC’s Senior Leadership Team.
