Qualifications For Local Cypriot or EU Nationals

Please note, we carefully review all local applications and EU applicants, however, teachers applying for positions must have the following to be considered:

Required Qualifications for all Applicants (overseas applicants/local Cypriot/EU nationals)

1. Demonstrate native ability to speak, read or write English
2. Be a graduate of a North American university with specialization in the subject to be taught
3. Have a current teaching certificate from the USA or Canada
4. Have a minimum of two years of post certification teaching experience in a North American curriculum school
5. Excellent references
6. Ability to teach two or more subjects
7. Provide sponsorship or coaching for extra curricular activities
8. Meet specific qualifications for positions listed, such as IB training

The AISC Director reviews all local applications that meet the above qualifications. She also attends international recruiting fairs in North America. The Director works with a number of international school agencies to find the best qualified and suited professionals to teach AISC students.
