“Whether you want to uncover the secrets of the universe, or you just want to pursue a career in the 21st century, basic computer programming is an essential skill to learn.” Stephen Hawking
Robotics is included in the Educational Technology curriculum and is also offered as an afternoon activity.

During our after-school activities program, AISC students have opportunities to be creative critical thinkers as they problem-solve and learn to code.

Using a hands-on approach, we have successfully created models based on engineering technology with a pathway to programming. A specific task is set entailing construction and development so that the students can see if the model is functioning correctly. Subsequently, students are taught how to develop the program that refers to the task. Finally, students are given the opportunity to see if the model-robot is functioning correctly or whether it needs modification.

  • The AISC Robotics Lab

is fully equipped with the latest technology designed to facilitate robotics learning skills including NTX Lego Mindstorms, EV3 Lego Mindstorms, and Lego WeDo.

  • Students who opt to participate

in after-school Robotics classes are encouraged to use their skills and problem-solving fully in order to take part in the Pancyprian and International Robotics competitions.

  • We have successfully participated

in the Cyprus Robotex Competition, the International Robotex Competition in Estonia, and the First Lego League in Limassol.
