“If science is taught just as an assemblage of facts, without being taught the process that gives rise to those facts, then why should pupils trust science more than fables or pseudoscience?” Paul Nurse - Francis Crick Institute.
Biology, Chemistry and Physics are offered as part of the IB and/or American Diploma in both Standard and Higher Level courses.

At AISC we take science seriously. Our students are engaged with a hands-on approach every step of the way. We provide a comprehensive conceptually-based science curriculum delivery with emphasis on Biology, Chemistry and Physics that are offered as part of the IB and/or American Diploma in both Standard Level as well as Higher Level courses.

All of our Labs are equipped with top of the range probes supplied by Vernier extending from simple temperature probes to radiation monitor probes. We place technology in every students’ hands with a focus on building 21st century ICT skills as well as classical procedural science techniques.

  • Our Biology Lab

is equipped with high-end compound light microscopes and a full set of prepared slides. We also have human body models, an incubator and water bath.

  • Our Chemistry Lab

is fully equipped with organic synthesis kits, our very own water de-ionizer, high and low vacuum stations, gas discharge tubes and fume cupboards for more advanced experiments. Our students participate in annual international science competitions with a number of distinctions already achieved.

  • Our Physics Lab

is fully equipped for kinetics and projectile motion experimental devices such as high-end catapults with motion/velocity detectors and numerous photogates for additional experiments. We also have a number of experimental set-ups for investigating the properties of light and sound waves.
